Emphasizing concepts and principles, this book provides readers with an accessible approach to software design. It presents several examples of commercial and research systems throughout the chapters to explain and justify the concepts. And the material presented is technically diverse, including discussions of state machines, logic, concurrent programming, and scheduling algorithms.
Ankur Krishna Gautam and Roya Alizadeh. International Journal of Computer Applications 93 16 , May Full text available. To study the latest cellular mobile communication standard and protocols, there should be a publicly available simulation environment to support researchers of the world to do testing, reformulation of the existing technologies and optimization on a common well known platform ,,. In this paper, we pipelined execution of the LTE algorithms on blade servers to achieve minimum latency caused during communication . And then the pipeline model is compared in different context including a single multi-core processor, multiple processors on a single board, multiple processors on different boards on a single server and multiple processors on two different servers and etc.
Embedded computer systems are characterized by the presence of one or more processors running application specific software. A large number of these systems must satisfy performance constraints in addition to cost constraints. Because embedded systems are constructed from large, complex components — CPUs and ASICs — we need new techniques to analyze the performance of these components as well as their compositions. Since the performance analysis of ASICs is considered to be a well studied problem, the main challenges in performance analysis of embedded system are in the area of software performance analysis and analysis of concurrent components. Here the research can be broadly classified into two areas.
An operating system OS is system software that manages computer hardware , software resources, and provides common services for computer programs. Time-sharing operating systems schedule tasks for efficient use of the system and may also include accounting software for cost allocation of processor time , mass storage , printing, and other resources. For hardware functions such as input and output and memory allocation , the operating system acts as an intermediary between programs and the computer hardware, although the application code is usually executed directly by the hardware and frequently makes system calls to an OS function or is interrupted by it.
